Rebecca Lowery received a BA in Sculpture and served four years in the ceramics apprentice program at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. She has spent several years in Lexington, Kentucky where she built a woodkiln, taught classes at the local art center and maintained a studio ever since. She began working for Baltimore Clayworks in Maryland, both in the office and teaching for 5 years. There, she was the development associate maintaining the organizational database, managed work exchange, maintained the website and taught classes. Now, she is a studio potter in Bloomington, Indiana, creating simple, elegant and fun handmade pottery and imaginative sculpture. You can find her work at galleries, art shows and festivals throughout the year. She also offers private lessons to students and web consulting to other artists.
